Woman of about 70 killed in apparent hit-and-run in Belmont Central

CHICAGO (CBS) — A girl was killed in a hit-and-run within the Belmont Central neighborhood Thursday evening.

At 8:07 p.m., police have been referred to as to the 6000 block of West Grand Avenue and located a lady of about 70 mendacity unresponsive on the road.

The girl appeared to have been struck by a car that was not on the scene, police stated.

She suffered head and physique trauma and was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, the place she was pronounced lifeless.

No one was in custody late Thursday. Area Five detectives are investigating.
